Concordia CPA Admission Requirements

Requirements for candidature:

  • Bachelor Degree with a minimum GPA 3.0/4.3

  • 14 prerequisites courses with a minimum grade B- (listed below)

Fourteen Prerequisites:

  • ACCO 310: Financial Reporting I (must be completed after 2009)

  • ACCO 320: Financial Reporting II (must be completed after 2009)

  • ACCO 420: Financial Reporting III

  • ACCO 425: Financial Reporting IV

  • ACCO 330: Cost and Management Accounting

  • ACCO 340: Income Taxation in Canada

  • ACCO 440: Advanced Taxation

  • ACCO 450: Assurance Services

  • ACCO 435: Integrative Management Accounting Cases

  • ACCO 465: Advanced Assurance Services

  • COMM 308: Introduction to Finance

  • COMM 226: Business Technology Management

  • COMM 315: Business Law and Ethics

  • COMM 401: Strategy and Competition

  •  *ACCO 400: Financial Accounting Theory (Not a B- requirement)

* Please note that this course does NOT require a B- grade as it is not specifically a CPA program prerequisite. However, successful completion of this course is necessary in order to earn the Bachelors of Accountancy Degree.

It should also be noted that 24 credits from the Concordia program are transferable when completing an MBA. This means that to receive an MBA from Concordia only an additional 6 credits is required.
