Are you a 1st or 2nd year student with an interest in Accounting and the CPA profession?

Here’s your chance to start off the winter semester on the right track by taking part in an internal CASE COMPETITION!

This is YOUR OPPORTUNITY to challenge yourself, test your presentation skills, expand your network, potentially win prizes and make lifelong friends along the way. The winning team will be given the opportunity to shadow a professional CPA at an accounting firm!

How does it work??

Teams of 3 to 4 students (MINIMUM of 3 people), including you, will be given 3 hours to analyze, solve and present solutions to a business case. The case will incorporate material from introductory accounting theories, strategic management skills and critical thinking.

Never competed before??

Don’t sweat it! This case is specifically designed to accommodate 1st and 2nd year students with an interest in accounting.

How to sign up??

Purchase your ticket on Eventbrite and answer the questions about you and your team! You can sign up as a TEAM or as an INDIVIDUAL (signing up as an INDIVIDUAL, means that your team will be created by the organizing committee).

*NOTE: If you are two people and cannot find a third member, simply register as individuals. BOTH participants must however email specifying that they would like to be together*


Dress code: Business casual
Breakfast, Coffee, Tea and Lunch will be served for participants and volunteers!
The teams will be segregated based on the credits students have completed using the following system:
1. First Year students (Less than 30 JMSB credits completed)*
2. Second Year Students (Between 30 and 60 JMSB credits completed)*
* Credits completed only up to Fall 2019, current classes being taken do not count towards the credit total
